If you installed a 2 inches or taller suspension lift, this kit is a MUST (not needed for body lifted Jeeps).All NP 231 transfer cases are compatible with the kit.To avoid drive train vibrations caused by taller suspension lift, a Slip Yoke Eliminator Kit (SYE) will eliminate the need to drop your transfer case.The kit's purpose is to replace the slip yoke portion of the NP 231 with a fixed yoke and CV-style drive shaft assembly.This reduces drive shaft angle, improves bearing & U-joint life, and reduces drive line vibrations.It features a shorter and stronger main shaft design with improved oiling.Cable driven speedometers are not compatible.Rubicon models are not supported.
