Tekonsha replacement trailer wiring harnesses are designed for vehicles that originally have a factory installed tow package - ideal for replacing damaged or missing factory harnesses.
It includes vehicle specific connectors and a 7-way connector with 16 gauge bonded wire.
To reduce strain on the existing electrical system of your vehicle, this kit includes a powered, circuit protected ModuLite module that draws power directly from the battery to power the trailer's lighting system.
Depending on the vehicle, the module either receives its power from a single, easy to add wire that connects to the positive battery terminal or draws power from the trailer wiring port of the vehicle.
The ModuLite module also ensures compatibility between the tow vehicle's electrical system and the trailer's wiring while safeguarding the electrical system of the tow vehicle from harmful short circuits and overload situations.
