The Heat Shield Kit for Triumph TR6 and TR250 from Design Engineering addresses the issue of hot interiors in Triumphs.
Owners of a Triumph TR6 or TR250 often mention how warm the interior can become on hot days.
With feet against the firewall, the gearbox beside you, and hot exhaust running under the floor, it can get intensely hot, regardless of whether the top is down.
If the firewall and floor grommets are worn out or missing, or if the gearbox cover seal is damaged or missing, more hot air than usual will enter through the foot wells and transmission cover.
The Design Engineering Heat Shield Kit for Triumph TR6 and TR250 models features a high-heat resistant material that is only 3/16" thick for minimal clearance and is rated to handle 1750°F of radiant heat.
The material is die-cut into seven individual pieces that fit together inside the gearbox cover to reflect heat from entering through the gearbox cover.
Each piece has a super aggressive adhesive for a simple peel, position, and stick application.
Also included are two packets of adhesion promoter, one roll of 1-1/2" w x 15ft heat reflective sealing tape to cover seams, a pair of protective gloves, and detailed installation instructions.
