Dedicated forgings are utilized for a superior strength to weight ratio, using aerospace alloy with a dome designed for improved flame travel and a detailed skirt shape and profiles for stability and smooth operation in the cylinder bore.
Each piston from Wiseco is designed with the proper installed clearance to produce the most power, least wear, and best seal at running temperature for each application.
Compared to cast pistons, forgings are tougher and more durable and will withstand the abuse that high performance motorsport applications require.
Fits: Yamaha FZR1000 1989-96, YFZ1000 Thunderace 1997-98.
